My Story

Hi, I am Sandra O’Connell, an Australian trained Naturopath, Herbalist, Aromatherapist & Flower Essence Practitioner.   I have over 30 year’s experience in the industry of natural medicine and I am the creator of the Raw Botanicals range.

My passion has always been to create a product for my patients to be able to use that is safe and effective to help their ailments. It was frustrating to see so many products with added ingredients that shouldn't be there. I wanted it simple, pure & natural ingredients that nature has to offer and to be effective for my clients.  

​

With my experience of herbs, essential oils and the knowledge of Natural Medicine, I wanted to combine all these teachings to be able to help people. I wanted to create herbal balms to be used instead of a pill for an ill.

​

So My journey began with the start of my first balm - Sinus balm  - now known as Clear balm to help sufferers of sinus congestion and sinus headaches. My range has now grown to help other ailments that people have requested from me and have found great relief from using the balms. 

​

Since making Ireland my home almost 11 years ago, I have always loved seeing the herbs I used in practise in Australia growing wild all over the country sides of Ireland. We are so blessed to have such an abundance of natural herbs that we can use each and every day. My herbs are collected from local Hedgerows where I live and also on our property. 

​

I travel around the country sampling the balms & mists and do health and wellness talks & seminars incorporating the products and also my knowledge of over 30 years in the health industry.

All Raw Botanical products are handmade in Co Limerick by Sandra O'Connell using 100% organic ingredients.

Raw Botanical products do not contain Synthetic fragrance, palm oil, or harmful chemicals. Sustainable packaging is used.

Our products are not tested on animals and are cruelty free. 

Individual responses to the balms may vary, so it's always a good idea to perform a patch test before applying any new product to a larger area of the skin.

Some of our balms do contain Almond Oil and Tamanu oil. If you have any nut allergies, please do a patch test first or if you are highly allergic or sensitive then, we suggest to avoid all of our balms, due to some of the ingredients coming from nuts. Our Wheat bags do contain real wheat, if you have any wheat allergies please avoid.
